EA'99 is the fourth conference on Evolutionary Computation organized in France. Following EA'94 in Toulouse, EA'95 in Brest, and EA'97 in Nîmes, the Conference will be held in Dunkerque. Authors are invited to present original work in some topic relevant to Evolutionary Computation, including but not limited to :

Please indicate: the title of paper, the author name(s), author physical and email address(es), author phone number(s). Senders will receive an "acknowledge" mail to confirm the successfull retrieval and recording of their article proposal. EVOLVABLE HARDWARE SPECIAL SESSIONA special session will be devoted to hardware implementations of EC, including, but not limited to, reconfigurable hardware, evolutionary robotics, and issues relevant to hardware simulation.Demonstrations are welcomed, and interested parties are requested to
contact Edmund Ronald (eronald@cmapx.polytechnique.fr).
SILIFE DEMO FORUM AND CONTESTSAll silicon-based life forms can demo at SiLife. Computer games and electronic toys are welcome, participation is free, and efforts will be made to secure press and TV exposure - at the height of the pre-Christmas season.Commercial Product ContestA jury composed of scientists and journalists will elect the best toy hardware, best computer game, best research and educational hardwares, best research and educational softwares. First and second nominations will be made in each category.Freeform Demo Contest.Substantial prizes, eg. one Khepera Robot as first prize , will be awarded to the researchers or private individuals submitting the most original and behaviorally exciting demos of silicon-based life; Both software and hardware participants are welcome. Please contact Edmund Ronald (eronald@cmapx.polytechnique.fr). LANGUAGESThe official language of the Conference is French, but presentations in English are strongly encouraged - French researchers whose English is not yet fluent will find a unique friendly environment to practice their scientific English.
